Graphic Designing & Printing

Different ways of doing designs such as lettering, cartoons and images

Apparel-printing services need t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and even pools. They need t-shirts with a good print quality and designs that can attract customers. They need t-shirts that will last for a long time and not be easily worn out or damaged. The process of designing of t-shirts involves many things such as t-shirt fabric selection, design layout, color selection, illustration editing, printing setup, color mixing, and proofing.

The process of designing is usually done by the shop’s graphic department since they are the ones who know what type of designs will catch a customer’s attention and what type of designs will not. The graphic department usually works together with the art department to come up with good ideas that are sure to attract customers. There are different ways of doing designs such as lettering, cartoons, images, logos, and mock printing on the t-shirts.

When it comes to printing t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and polo, it is important that the design is printed in the correct area. If it is printed outside, there is a big possibility that it will become spoiled and no longer fashionable. This is why the majority of apparel printing shops have pivot hinges in their uniform pieces. With the use of a standard pivot and a sewing machine, printing uniform pieces become easy and simple to do.

The next step that apparel printing shops have taken to make printing easy and convenient is to take advantage of computer-aided design or screen printing. With the invention of computer-aidedaided design or screen printing, it has become easier for the shop to produce a large number of items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, and jackets. The process involves the use of digital screens which show different designs or images such as letters and numbers which are then printed onto the apparel. A screen printer then transfers this image or design onto the fabric by using special ink that is placed on the fabric through a transfer print head.

Aside from screen printing apparel, they also use another method called the pandemic proofing. This involves creating a pandemic wear consisting of small t-shirts and sweatshirts with all possible pandemic symptoms printed on them. This is done so that people would be more likely to wear these pandemic ready products instead of panic if they see any sickness symptoms such as sneezing and coughing. This is done through pressing the required symbols onto the fabric. A pant label is used as an example to how the pandemic proofing works.

In conclusion, there are still a lot of things that can be said about the apparel printing industry. From the design aspect, the concept of color blocking, and the concept of color balancing, there are still a lot of new techniques that are being discovered everyday. New methods like the pretreatment of fabrics are even being used in apparel design to help make the clothes much more attractive and safe for use. With the invention of new materials, new methods of production, and new colors, one can only expect the technology to keep evolving into the future.
